NEPTS Review
You may have recently received an email dated 18 November 2025 from Ben Holdaway titled “NEPTS Review.”
Within that email is an important survey for all NEPTS team members to complete.
Over the years, and through continued dialogue with you, UNISON has been working closely with Joy Weldin and the EMAS Executive Team to raise your concerns, highlight the significant pressures you and service, and push for meaningful improvements to your working lives and conditions. Many of you have shared that the current system is falling short in key areas, and that the pressures and short falls within NEPTS are placing increasing strain on staff and on the quality of service you are able to provide. Your honesty has been crucial in prompting this full review.
This survey is your opportunity to provide clear, detailed and honest feedback anonymously to an independent company commissioned to carry out the review and produce a set of recommendations for Ben to consider. We know how important confidentiality is, and we have taken every step to ensure your anonymity is protected. Please be assured that all feedback will be taken seriously.
Your input will directly shape the future of NEPTS. The findings from this survey will:
· Identify areas where the service is currently falling short or not functioning as efficiently as it should
· Highlight the pressures and challenges you face daily
· Pinpoint where improvement is urgently needed, such as staffing levels, workloads, resources, communication and operational processes
· Recognise what is working well and should be strengthened
· Provide a strong, evidence-based foundation for recommending real and lasting change
Your voice genuinely matters — and completing this survey is one of the most important opportunities you will have to influence meaningful improvements.
We strongly encourage all members to take the time to complete the survey.
