Dear Colleagues,
Both UNISON EMAS and GMB@EMAS will be surveying all Lincolnshire A&E staff in the coming days, and your prompt participation is crucial.
The survey seeks your views on proposed changes to meal break arrangements for shifts longer than 8 hours, including the planned increase from 30 to 45 minutes for 12-hour shifts. Staff on 8-hour shifts will not be affected.
Yesterday, we met with the Chief Executive and Director of Operations to discuss both this proposal and the FRV proposals. Following that meeting, it was agreed that gathering staff feedback is essential to strengthen UNISON EMAS and GMB@EMAS’s position in further discussions and negotiations with the Trust.
Your input matters. It is vital that your voice is heard, and your feedback will directly inform union discussions with the Trust. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey as soon as it arrives.
The survey will close on 20 January 2026 — responses after this date may not be considered.
Further surveys on the FRV proposals will follow shortly to capture your views on those changes as well.
